Senior year is busy enough

Hi, I'm Billy Joinville, and I built CollegeBinder because I needed a better way to manage my college application process.

Miami was my dream school, and getting there meant doing many things at once. There was senior year itself: last assignments, prom, seeing friends for the last time, and preparing for the future.

Underneath it ran a second job nobody schedules for you. Application deadlines in different weeks, and financial aid forms with calendars of their own. Documents to find, sign, and send before dates that were never written down to begin with.

The hardest part wasn't any single deadline. It was that nobody could tell me which school would actually cost the least. Aid offers arrive in different formats, mixing grants you keep with loans you repay, and comparing them properly meant taking them apart by hand at the exact point in the year with the least time to spare.

I got there. But it was harder than it needed to be, and almost none of that difficulty was about being ready for college. It was paperwork nobody had organized.

So this is the tool I wanted at 17. Every deadline that applies to you in one list, each linked to the form it belongs to, with a reminder before it arrives. Aid offers broken into what you're given and what you owe, so 2 letters can be compared honestly.

A year costs less than one application fee at most schools, and it covers the whole cycle. Missing a FAFSA date is measured in thousands of dollars, and that is the problem this was built to solve.
