Boston College application deadlines for Fall 2027

1. ScholarshipsNovember 1, 2026in about a month

   Boston College Presidential Scholarship priority deadline

   To be considered for BC's Gabelli Presidential Scholars Program, its top merit award, you need your application in by November 1 no matter which decision plan you choose. There's no separate scholarship application, so simply applying by this date is what puts you in the pool. Finalists are notified in mid-January and are then flown to campus at BC's expense for interviews in mid-March. If you were planning to apply Regular Decision in January, this is a reason to submit much earlier.

   If you miss it: Apply after November 1 and you're out of the running for BC's flagship merit scholarship entirely, even if you're admitted. This is a full merit award, so the cost is potentially tens of thousands of dollars per year.

2. Early DecisionNovember 1, 2026in about a month

   Boston College Early Decision I application deadline

   This is BC's binding Early Decision I deadline, so only apply this way if Boston College is your clear first choice. If you're admitted you have to withdraw your other applications and enroll, and BC wants your enrollment confirmation fee within 10 days of the offer. You'll hear back by December 15. Applying by this date also automatically puts you in the running for the Gabelli Presidential Scholarship.

   If you miss it: Miss it and you lose the Early Decision admission boost, the December answer, and automatic Presidential Scholarship consideration. You'd be pushed into a later round where you compete against a much larger pool.

3. Early Decision IIJanuary 4, 2027in about 3 months

   Boston College Early Decision II application deadline

   Early Decision II is BC's second binding early round, useful if you decided BC is your top choice after the November deadline passed. It's just as binding as ED I, so an acceptance means you enroll and pull your other applications. You'll get your decision by February 15. If you already submitted a Regular Decision application, you can convert it to ED II by emailing a signed Common Application Early Decision Agreement to the admission office.

   If you miss it: Missing this ends your chance at a binding early advantage and a February answer. You'd fall back to Regular Decision, where the acceptance rate is lower.

4. Regular DecisionJanuary 4, 2027in about 3 months

   Boston College Regular Decision application deadline

   This is the standard, non-binding way to apply to Boston College, and it's what most applicants use. You'll get your decision by April 1 and then have until May 1 to decide, so you can compare BC against your other offers and their financial aid packages. Note that the arts supplement through SlideRoom has its own earlier cutoff, and anything submitted late won't be reviewed.

   If you miss it: Miss this and you can't apply for fall 2027 entry at all. BC does not offer a rolling or late first-year round, so you'd be waiting a full year.

5. DepositMay 1, 2027in about 7 months

   Boston College enrollment confirmation deadline

   If you're admitted through Regular Decision, this is the day you have to commit and confirm your enrollment at BC by paying the enrollment confirmation fee. It's the standard national reply date, so it's also your deadline to weigh BC's aid package against your other offers. Early Decision admits are on a much tighter clock instead, since a binding acceptance requires the fee within 10 days of the offer rather than by May 1.

   If you miss it: Miss it and BC can release your spot to someone on the waitlist. There's no guarantee a late deposit is accepted.
