   Vanderbilt requires the CSS Profile, not just the FAFSA, to consider you for its own institutional aid, and that institutional money is the majority of what the university hands out. Use school code 1871. If you're applying Early Decision I your Profile is due November 1, 2026 instead, and Early Decision II applicants owe it by January 1, 2027.

   If you miss it: Skip the CSS Profile and you're only in the running for federal aid, which at a school costing roughly $100,000 a year leaves an enormous gap. Filing it late can mean a smaller institutional grant than you'd otherwise have received.
