1. Early DecisionNovember 1, 2026in about a month

   Villanova Early Decision I application deadline

   This is Villanova's binding first-choice round. If you apply Early Decision I and get in, you agree to enroll and withdraw your applications everywhere else, so only pick it if Villanova is genuinely your top school and your family is comfortable committing before you can compare aid offers. You'll hear back by December 1, and your enrollment deposit is due within two weeks of admission rather than in May. Your financial assistance materials are due the same day as the application, November 1.

   If you miss it: Miss it and you lose the Early Decision I round entirely. You can still apply Early Action or Regular Decision, but you give up the admissions boost that comes with a binding early commitment and the early December answer.

2. CSS ProfileNovember 1, 2026in about a month

   Villanova CSS Profile deadline

   Villanova requires the CSS Profile on top of the FAFSA, and it's the form that actually decides your Villanova grant. It's due the same day as your application: November 1 for Early Decision I and Early Action, January 15 for Early Decision II and Regular Decision. Villanova's CSS Profile code is 2959. If your parents don't live together, both your custodial and noncustodial parent each have to file a separate Profile, so give them plenty of warning.

   If you miss it: No CSS Profile means no institutional need-based aid at all, only federal loans. Skipping the noncustodial parent's Profile can hold up your entire aid package.

3. Early ActionNovember 1, 2026in about a month

   Villanova Early Action application deadline

   Early Action lets you apply early without committing to attend. You'll get an admit, deny, or defer decision by January 20, which is much earlier than Regular Decision, and you still have until May 1 to put down a deposit. Note that your financial assistance materials are due on this same November 1 date, not later. If you want to be considered for the Health Affiliation Programs with Penn Dental or Salus at Drexel Optometry, you must apply Early Action by this date.

   If you miss it: Miss it and you're pushed to Regular Decision, which means waiting until April 1 for an answer instead of January 20, and you lose eligibility for the Health Affiliation Programs.

4. Financial aidNovember 1, 2026in about a month

   This is the one most students miss. If you apply Early Decision I or Early Action, your FAFSA and CSS Profile are due the very same day as your application, November 1, not sometime later in the winter. Villanova says outright that late applicants are only aided if money is left over, so filing on time is what protects your need-based grant. Don't wait for an admission decision before you file.

   If you miss it: File late and Villanova will only consider you for need-based institutional aid if funds remain. That can cost you thousands of dollars a year in grant money that would otherwise have been yours.

5. Early Decision IIJanuary 15, 2027in about 4 months

   Villanova Early Decision II application deadline

   Early Decision II is the same binding commitment as ED I but on the Regular Decision timeline, so it's for you if Villanova became your clear first choice after November. You'll get a decision by February 15, and your deposit is due within two weeks of that admission letter. If you already applied Early Action and were deferred, or applied Regular Decision, you can switch into ED II by emailing gotovu@villanova.edu with a completed Early Decision Agreement Form by January 31.

   If you miss it: Miss it and your only remaining option is Regular Decision, with an answer in April instead of mid-February and without the advantage of a binding commitment.

   If you're applying Early Decision II or Regular Decision, your FAFSA and CSS Profile are due January 15, the same day as your application. Villanova explicitly warns that late aid applicants only get funded if money is still available, so treat this as a hard deadline rather than a suggestion. You'll get your aid notification on February 15 if you're ED II and April 1 if you're Regular Decision.

   If you miss it: Filing after January 15 puts you at the back of the line for need-based institutional grants, and Villanova states you'll only be aided if funds remain. That can turn an affordable offer into an unaffordable one.

7. ScholarshipsJanuary 15, 2027in about 4 months

   Villanova Presidential Scholarship consideration deadline

   The Presidential Scholarship is Villanova's biggest merit award, covering tuition, on-campus housing, a meal plan, the general fee, and textbooks, with 25 offered each year. You don't apply for it separately at first: every applicant who submits a complete admission application through the Common App by 11:59 PM Eastern on January 15 is considered automatically. If Villanova selects you as a candidate, you'll be invited through your Applicant Status Page in mid-January if you applied Early Action or Early Decision I, or in February for Regular Decision and Early Decision II, to submit short-answer essays. Finalists interview on campus in March.

   If you miss it: Submit your admission application after January 15 and you're out of the running for a full-tuition-plus award worth well over $300,000 across four years.

8. Regular DecisionJanuary 15, 2027in about 4 months

   Villanova Regular Decision application deadline

   This is the standard non-binding round and the last chance to apply as a first-year student. It's the right pick if you want senior year grades to count or need more time on the Villanova writing supplements. You'll hear back by April 1 and have until May 1 to deposit. Regular Decision applicants are required to send updated senior year grades, so plan for that on top of the application itself.

   If you miss it: Miss it and you cannot apply for fall 2027 entry at all. Your next option is applying as a transfer student after a year somewhere else, with a March 15 deadline.

9. DepositMay 1, 2027in about 7 months

   Villanova enrollment deposit deadline

   If you're admitted through Early Action or Regular Decision, May 1 is the day you have to commit and pay your enrollment deposit to hold your seat. Depositing on time as a resident student is also what secures your guaranteed on-campus housing. Early Decision I and Early Decision II admits are on a completely different clock: your deposit is due within two weeks of admission, and the exact date will be in your admission letter.

   If you miss it: Miss May 1 and you forfeit your place in the class, which then goes to someone on the waitlist. For Early Decision admits, missing the two-week window puts your binding offer at risk.
