Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus application deadlines for Fall 2027

1. ScholarshipsOctober 15, 2026in 16 days

   Georgia Tech merit scholarship consideration (requires applying Early Action)

   Georgia Tech has no separate scholarship application, so the way you get considered for merit money is simply by applying under an Early Action plan and meeting that plan's deadline. This covers awards like the Stamps President's Scholars Program and the Scheller Dean's Scholarship. The date shown here is the earlier of the two Early Action deadlines, so hitting it keeps you safe whichever plan applies to you. If you're a Georgia student your real deadline is October 15, and if you're outside Georgia it's November 2.

   If you miss it: There's no second chance and no late scholarship form. Apply Regular Decision and you're simply not in the pool for Georgia Tech's academic and merit-based scholarships, no matter how strong your application is.

2. Early ActionOctober 15, 2026in 16 days

   Georgia Tech Early Action 1 application deadline (Georgia students only)

   This is Georgia Tech's Early Action 1 deadline, and it's open only to Georgia students, meaning you attend a Georgia high school or you're a Georgia resident living outside the state. It's non-binding, so you can still apply anywhere else and you're not committed if you get in. Applying by this date is also the only way to be considered for Georgia Tech's merit scholarships. Your supporting documents are due October 30 and self-reported test scores by November 16.

   If you miss it: If you miss this you can still apply Regular Decision by January 6, but you permanently lose consideration for Georgia Tech's academic and merit-based scholarships, which require an Early Action application. Georgia Tech reviews EA and RD applications the same way, so the scholarship access is the real thing at stake.

3. Early ActionNovember 2, 2026in about a month

   Georgia Tech Early Action 2 application deadline (non-Georgia and international students)

   This is Georgia Tech's Early Action 2 deadline, for you if you attend a high school outside Georgia, including international schools, and you're not a Georgia resident. Like EA1 it's non-binding, so getting in doesn't obligate you to enroll. This is also your only route to Georgia Tech's merit scholarships, since those require an Early Action application. Documents are due November 16 and self-reported test scores by December 8.

   If you miss it: Miss it and Regular Decision on January 6 is still open, but you forfeit consideration for merit scholarships like the Stamps President's Scholars Program. For an out-of-state student facing a cost of attendance above $55,000 a year, that's a very expensive thing to give up.

4. Regular DecisionJanuary 6, 2027in about 3 months

   Georgia Tech Regular Decision application deadline

   This is the last date you can apply to Georgia Tech for first-year admission, and it's open to both Georgia and non-Georgia students. Georgia Tech says the review process is identical to Early Action, so applying now doesn't hurt your admission chances, but it does rule you out of merit scholarships. If you apply Regular Decision or were deferred from Early Action, you have to send an updated transcript showing your fall senior grades. Documents and self-reported test scores are both due January 22.

   If you miss it: This is a hard stop. Georgia Tech states that applications not completed by the Regular Decision document and test score deadline will be closed, so a late or incomplete file means no admission decision at all for this entry year.

5. DepositMay 1, 2027in about 7 months

   Georgia Tech enrollment deposit deadline

   If Georgia Tech admits you, this is the date by which you have to pay your enrollment deposit to claim your spot. It applies the same way whether you were admitted through Early Action 1, Early Action 2, or Regular Decision. You do it through your Georgia Tech admission portal, not the Common App. Since you may hold offers from several schools, this is the day you have to actually choose.

   If you miss it: No deposit by this date and Georgia Tech can release your seat to someone on the waitlist. Getting it back is not guaranteed, so an admission offer you worked all year for can simply lapse.
